Our Association was founded in 2003, as a direct result of the ill-treatment, the inconsistent application of regulations, the ignorance of European Law, and in general, the abuse inflicted on Ex Pats by the United Kingdom Government and their Department's. Their action's have caused many Ex Pats, who relocated to Spain, pain, financial hardship and, in some cases, illness, anxiety and severe stress for themselves and their families.

Whether you are an Ex Pat, a potential Ex Pat or merely someone residing in the United Kingdom who believes in fairness and equality then you should join our Association.

We are the unofficial Opposition to this callous Government led by the totally unscrupulous duo of Blair and Brown.
How we hope that sense prevails and that when Blair goes, Brown does NOT become his successor. This is yet another example of their devious ways. There is NO automatic assumption that Brown should succeed Blair. The Prime Minister has absolutely NO SAY in who his or her successor is. Blair feels he has that authority because he believes he is more than a mortal Prime Minister. The Labour Party should have the balls to stand up and say "We will elect our next Prime Minister and will NOT have one imposed upon us. Get the rule book out, is what we say, and then act within your own rules.

What can we do for Ex Pats?

We have already had several victories over both the United Kingdom and Spanish Governments. We have, with regularity, taken both Government's to their European Masters and had several ill-conceived, devious, self opinionated rulings and totally unjust rulings overturned. And yes there are more in the pipeline as we write.

We have already achieved far more than many Members of Parliament, who were supposedly fighting for their Ex Pat constituents. Sadly many including Ann Coffey, Member of Parliament for Stockport, (who once was in Tony's spotlight, but we now feel the light bulb may have blown - leaving her in the dark once again) feel they should give PRIORITY to their more immediate constituents. As, one of the co-founders, whose Member of Parliament is sadly Ann Coffey, said to her - "exactly from which text are you quoting that premise from"? He could find no singular reference to such discriminatory treatment in the Representation of the Peoples Act. Did he get an answer? No. Why? Because the infamous duo of Blair and Brown want to remove Ex Pats from their agenda period - they feel that we are an embarrassment and totally unwelcome expense, they believe. Well we have got news for the U.K.'s answer to Batman and Robin - such considerations are actually a criminal act. Being part of the European Union, the United Kingdom, is obliged to treat ALL of its citizens as European Citizens and that Tony and Gordon means British Ex Pats as well. We strongly suggest that you re-think such policies before you are further embarrassed by the British Ex Pats Association (Spain).

Blair and Brown are devious, totally unscrupulous and regularly discriminate against Ex Pats and we have the proof.

We can only support disadvantaged Ex Pats if we have an ever increasing number of Members. The game today is SIMPLE - if you are a large force Governments listen - consider the British Medical Association, the Law Society, many LARGE Trade Unions - why is it that they command such an influence? Simply numbers, and in the case of the first two a stranglehold on the Government.

We need the strength in numbers, to go to both the United Kingdom and Spanish Governments with the knowledge that we count. Our motto is "Strength in numbers" - please assist our quest by not only joining but getting your family, friends and Ex Pats or potential Ex Pats to join. Please note you do not need to live in Spain to become a Member and we do not have age restrictions. If you have a passport you can be a Member.
