My fourth email to Alison O'Connell

Dear Ms O´Connell

As suggested by yourself I have tried to read the report in full in an attempt to read and analyse your comments on the "freedom of movement" - an important and legal requirement for pension provision under EU statute. Sadly you omitted to advise me as to the title of your report or offer a copy of it. I therefore went to your web site and could only find a report entitled A GUIDE TO STATE PENSION REFORM and have therefore had to assume this is the report you refer to.
I have read the report and much of its content is commendable however I could find no reference to your phrase freedom of movement as quoted by yourself in your email namely "...However, as you will see when you give more than a brief read to the full report we are working on, we have fully considered the issue of freedom of movement...".  I also used the search facility and again found no reference to this phrase. Can you please advise exactly where I can find this reference and if this is the wrong report, that I am reading, kindly direct me to the correct one.

I appreciate you seem to have difficulty replying to my emails but would point out that your own terms of reference deem that to be a responsibility your Institute has. This issue will not go away, nor should it. If we are unable to enter dialogue with you on this hugely important matter then we shall feel obliged to seek support elsewhere. I am sure you would not expect us to allow any influential body to report and promote inaccurate findings.

I intend to put links to your Institute, your reports and our correspondence, on our web site so that our Membership can readily see the efforts our Association makes to endeavour to gain more equality of pension provision for ExPats. I hope you and your Institute sees fit to allow debate to take place on this important matter. We have Members of the Association able to advise you on the full implications of European law should you wish to avail yourselves of that facility.

I do hope you will see a way to responding favourably to what I consider to be a perfectly reasonable request, which demonstrably falls within your Institute´s remit.

I quote from your "Aims and objectives"

Considering the whole pension framework: state, private, and the interaction between them. (This cannot be achieved without the consideration of ExPats pension provision and the full implications of European Law)
Encouraging dialogue and debate with multiple constituencies. (We consider ourselves to be a constituency as we represent well between 500 and 1000 members - who have joined the Association in less than a year)

Regards

Peter Woodall
